Why "On the Sixth Day"?

So, what's the reason behind the title of my blog? Well, just in case you hadn't figured it out, it has everything to do with the Sixth Day of Creation.  On this day, God not only created humankind, but gave us the task of being responsible for the rest of creation.  God spoke, "Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature so they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes, Earth itself, and every animal that moves on the face of Earth. Genesis 1:26 (taken from The Message Bible).  So, you see, environmental responsibility is not just for those some deem as "treehuggers" (although there's nothing wrong with hugging a tree every now and then). Bible believers are also without a doubt charged with caring for creation.  My intent with this blog is to discuss environmental issues, how they can affect us, and the steps we can and should take to make a difference.
